Mrs. Vanbuskirk’s fourth grade reading group has been creating their own poetry based on the ideas and styles of the famous poems that Miss Stretchberry makes Jack read. Students have worked hard to find meaning and connections in these poems. Then, they created their own words and proudly present them to you!

Love That Dog, is a book written by Sharon Creech. The book is written in a journal format. Jack writes thoughts about the poetry Miss Stretchberry makes the class read. Jack begins the story as a reluctant writer who blossoms into an enthusiastic and motivated poet by the end of the school year.
