As I mentioned last week, your child(ren) is likely engaged in home-based learning between 2-3 hours per day (give or take) depending on what grade they’re in. None of us expected life to look this way, and we know everyone is doing the best they can given the circumstances.
Shift to Weekly Attendance
Beginning this week, Durango School District 9-R students and families will report weekly attendance. We have recognized that reporting attendance daily has been challenging for some, and hope everyone finds this change supportive.
Parents/guardians of elementary students will receive an attendance link in their email on Friday mornings. Please use this link to report participation in weekly lessons before Monday at noon. The Needham team will continue to reach out to families on a weekly basis if we haven’t heard from you. Our team is here to help and we want to make sure we stay connected to our students and families, as best as we can, during this time away from our building.
I have a question? How do I get in touch with someone?
If you have a question or need support, the most direct way to reach staff members at this time is through email. If you are unable to email, please call Needham’s main office at 970-247-4791, leave a message, and your message will be forwarded to the specific staff member requested.
We would really appreciate your feedback to help us improve the support and resources Needham is providing. If you have a minute or two, please complete a quick 3 question survey here. I know we’re all stretched thin, and appreciate you giving of your time!
Thank you again for everything you're doing at home to support your child(ren) during these uncertain and changing times. You're doing a great job, keep it up!
