As I say goodbye to you all and prepare to leave the school in the capable hands of Mrs. Jenny McKenna, I would like to thank you all for the trust, support, and confidence you have shown over the years for our Needham Staff. The Needham Community is everything that people say it is, and more: welcoming, caring, energetic, fun, accepting, and, most of all, genuine. I am proud to have been a partner with you in this incredible work. While I am looking forward to serving all of our students throughout 9-R in my new role as Director of Culture and Equity for the district, I hope you know that this is truly a bittersweet moment for me, as I have grown so close to you and your children over these years. Thankfully for me, though, memories of my time at Needham will literally be all around me, as I will see your children around town as constant reminders of my time as Principal here. Please don’t be surprised to see me give a high-five when I see your children out and about! It is a tradition that brings me such joy that I can’t imagine stopping it.
I wish you all the most wonderful of summer vacations. I hope you enjoy each precious moment of this time with your children…and make sure that they’re reading a lot, too! J
With great respect,
