Needham New April 27th, 2020

Completed Work Drop-off Bin:

We want to make sure your child(ren) is able to return completed paper-based work.  Some of you are taking photos or scanning and emailing this work to your child’s teacher.  Keep it up if so!  We also want to provide another way to turn in paper-based work.  Needham now has a bin in front of the school labeled, “NDE Return Work Here.”  This bin will be in front of Needham daily, from 7 am-1 pm.  Please drop off completed work into the bin, and a staff member will make sure it gets to your child’s teacher.  It is essential that your child’s name and the name of the teacher is included on the work. If you could please help your child with this step, it would be greatly appreciated.

If you are unable to share your child’s work digitally, or drop off completed work to the return work bin, please reach out to your child’s teacher so we can develop a solution for your family.

Online Registration for 20-21:

If you plan to return to Needham in August of 2020 (we miss everyone, so we hope so!) please complete your Online Registration.  This will help us to plan for the number of students we expect back in August.  If you do plan to leave the area, or do not plan to return to Needham, it would be very helpful if you could reach out to our Registrar, Laura Mottershead (lmottershead@durangoschools.org) or leave a message on Needham’s main office line 970-247-4791.  We know many families have ongoing developments to their plans, and are here to support you the best we can.

Item Pick-up from Classrooms:

We are working to develop a plan for the end of the year that will allow you to get your child’s items from the school and classroom.  I appreciate your patience and details will be shared out with you in the upcoming weeks.

We are so thankful for all of our families who have done an incredible job supporting your child(ren) in their home-based instruction.  Now more than ever, we truly couldn’t do this without you, and appreciate your partnership and ongoing communication.

With gratitude,

Dr. Laurie Rossback, Principal

Mr. Riley Alderton, Assistant Principal
