Drop Off/Pick Up
We have a new drop off lane in front of the school. If you are bringing your child to school in a vehicle, please utilize this drop off lane. This was created with student safety in mind. Street parking and walking, as well as crossing parking lots, creates an incredible amount of congestion and increased risk of pedestrian and vehicle encounters. I know this is a new process for all of us, but I hugely appreciate your cooperation with this change. A summary of different grade level meeting areas is below. Please note that these meeting areas do not coordinate with drop off/pick up when it comes to students arriving in vehicles or on the bus. ALL STUDENTS arriving by vehicle or on the bus will need to come through the drop off lane and then make their way to their designated class meeting locations.
- Preschool - This is the only grade who should be parking and walking kids on a consistent basis. You may park and walk kids directly to the preschool doors that lead into their classrooms.
- Kindergarten - Teachers will meet/dismiss students in the front of the building. All bus and drop off students will be directed to their class lines upon arrival.
- 1st Grade - Teachers will meet/dismiss students in the front of the building. All bus and drop off students will be directed to their class lines upon arrival.
- 2nd Grade - Teachers will meet/dismiss students on the North Playground. All bus and drop off students will be directed to the North Playground to join their class lines upon arrival. Pick up students will be directed to the front of the building at the end of the day.
- 3rd Grade - Teachers will meet students in the front of the building. All bus and drop off students will be directed to their class lines upon arrival. NOTE: This is a change from last year’s meeting location and was agreed upon last minute today. Do not send kids around to the North side of the building.
- 4th Grade - Teachers will meet/dismiss students by the West Playground doors. All bus and drop off students will be directed to the West Playground to join their class lines upon arrival. Pick up students will be directed to the front of the building at the end of the day.
- 5th Grade - Teachers will meet/dismiss students by the 5th grade hallway outside doors. All bus and drop off students will be directed to the 5th grade hallway outside doors to join their class lines upon arrival. Pick up students will be directed to the front of the building at the end of the day.
Start and End Times
Monday - 8:00 - 2:00 (supervised drop off begins at 7:50. Students at school after 2:15 will be directed to the office).
Tuesday through Friday - 8:00 - 3:00 (supervised drop off begins at 7:50. Students at school after 3:15 will be directed to the office).
Lunch and Breakfast
As a reminder breakfast and lunch at school are no longer covered by federal waivers. If you would like your student to eat at school, you will need to pay for them to have money on their account. Please visit this link in order to see your options for paying for school meals. Students may come to the cafeteria beginning at 7:40 for school breakfast. We will no longer be doing grab and go breakfast. Breakfast will end promptly at 8:00.
Communication Procedures
If you have any questions regarding your child’s classroom, please reach out to their classroom teacher as the first point of contact. If you have a question regarding school policies, rules, procedures, etc, please reach out to the administrative staff. If you have a child who has a specialized plan (IEP, 504, ALP) please reach out to the case manager for these specific plans. If you are unsure who the manager of those plans is, please feel free to contact the office. A response time of 36 business hours is the district policy for responding to inquiries. We work to respond much quicker, but please be patient if you have not heard back and we are still within this window of time. If you are requesting a meeting, it may take time to set up. Same day meetings are typically not able to be accommodated. Thank you for your understanding and partnership.
Bridge Book Drop Off
If your child completed their entire Summer Bridge Book, please send it in! They can drop it off in the office or with their teacher and their name will be entered in the district-wide prize drawing!

¡Bienvenidos al año escolar 2022-2023! Estamos muy emocionados de tener estudiantes de regreso en el edificio. Fue tan bueno ver a tantos de ustedes en nuestro evento Meet the Teacher esta mañana. A medida que avanza el año, quería aclarar algunas cosas que puede hacer para ayudarnos a tener un gran comienzo de año.
Dejar/Recoger
Tenemos un nuevo carril para dejar en frente de la escuela. Si va a traer a su hijo a la escuela en un vehículo, utilice este carril para dejarlo. Esto fue creado con la seguridad de los estudiantes en mente. Estacionar en la calle y caminar, así como cruzar lotes de estacionamiento, crea una cantidad increíble de congestión y un mayor riesgo de encuentros con peatones y vehículos. Sé que este es un proceso nuevo para todos nosotros, pero agradezco enormemente su cooperación con este cambio. NOTA: Este es un cambio con respecto a la ubicación de la reunión del año pasado y se acordó hoy en el último minuto. No envíe a los niños al lado norte del edificio.
- 4to Grado - Los maestros se reunirán/despedirán a los estudiantes por las puertas del West Playground.
